RidgeRock Retaining Walls was founded in 1998 by two disciplined engineers with a quest to invent, patent, and manufacture a retaining wall product that was unique, functional, strong, and architecturally-alluring.
Jim Martin, P.E., President of RidgeRock Retaining Walls, Inc. has over 30 years of experience
developing and marketing reinforced soil systems. A licensed professional engineer, Jim is the
co-holder of multiple U.S. and International Patents for RidgeRock and is the author of
numerous papers on geosynthetic reinforced soil design and applications.
Curtis Shillingburg, P.E., Vice President of RidgeRock Retaining Walls Inc., has 20 years of soil reinforcement experience. He has been instrumental in the development, manufacturing, and licensing of the RidgeRock Retaining Wall System. Curtis is the co-holder of multiple U.S. and International patents and is the author of a widely used reinforced soil retaining wall design software.
